The first music genre I'm gonna take up is heavy metal.
This genre had it's peak in the late 70-s and 80-s. Also from that era come the best metal bands that I know of. Some of the worst metal bands also come from that era, but that's a whole other topic. Wich I'll be taking on at the end of the week. Now most heavy metal songs are quite long. Mainly thanks to the solos. The music is usually loud and fast. If you like harder music, it's immposible not to start tapping with your foot and nodding your head to the rythm.
A few great example from the 70-s 80-s era are:
Manowar
Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Hammerfall
Metallica
Judas Priest
to name a few. There are alot of metal genres that have evolved from heavy metal. Like gothic metal, power metal and tharsh metal.
In the next post I'm gonna cover the work of Manowar. They are in my opinion the best heavy metal band in existance.
